freaky neighbors
My neighbor is singing at the top of his lungs right now. About 20 feet from my window. Something in Russian, I think. It's cracking me up.
Do you have crazy neighbors? What do your crazy neighbors do?
(I'm bored.)

When I was little, about 8 or 9 I guess I had this neighbor kid who now that I think about it really was an asshole, he had a bad habit of tearin' the hell out of his neighbors houses and pissing in our yards. I remember one time when I got in a fight with him and beat the f*** out of him pretty good, the next day he said I was an ass or somethin' like that and demanded an apology, I told him I didn't want to see him anymore.
The next day his mom comes over to our house and starts screaming at the top of her lungs that I hurt her kids feelings and that I either had to apologize or I'd never see him again, and I had to stay off "their property", sidewalk and all. I told 'em that uh, I didn't think I wanted to. Never saw them again. Later in the week the lady's other (older) son ran to our door crying, said that these other kids had beat him up or something.
Crazy people.

Nah, I rarely even see my neighbors(they're a young couple around 30s I think)... but when they did come over(my dad was selling an old car to them) I was playing GW and the guy mentioned that GW was a sweet game and he played every day ^^
I never knew he played on the computer!

I tried to bite my tongue, but it's not going to happen...
My neighbor plants shrubs/trees/bushes around her entire property. I don't mean all over, I mean around. You can't see her house except through the driveway entrance (and we wonder why her house has had 2 attempted breakins in the past 5 years ). Living here a few years, I've learned that seveal shrubs have stories, usually involving her not getting along with a neighbor and planting something so she doesn't have to see them.
She planted a fig tree between her house and mine a few years ago. I'm trying not to think about why. I asked her about it because I know fig trees can be huge and there's only about 10 feet between our houses. She says she planted it there because it's the only place it can get sun and she's never seen a fig tree that grows out, not up. I'm cringing at the day I have to ask her to cut it down.
I could tell other stories too... about ghosts, RV's and owls, but this should do for now.
And I had one of those 'my delinquent can do no wrong' types next door when I was a kid too.

One of my neighbours is a prostitute. She comes home with a different car and guy every night. She also leaves her blinds open, and my friends used to watch before they jumped the fence to bother me. My other neighbours are fat lesbians. They are evil dykes. Some kid went trick-or-treating there, and the nasty scabs sprayed the kid with Raid and oven-cleaner.

Do you live in Chicago? That could well be my son. He has taken Russian for 5 years (H.S. & College) He tells me even though he has studied that language for so long (and he has Aced it all the way too) it takes years to become fluent in it.
Thought your post was humorus...I have listen to my son all these years singing and speaking Russian.

That is pure EEE-VILLE. Any of the Gays & Lesbiens in our neighborhood have been fantastic neighbors. I truly have welcomed our homosexual neighbors and I never complained about them moving in. They usually have double income, no kids(brats) and fix up their homes. This adds value to mine.

one time, i had a neighbor that would come and look in my windows, we had to get bigger blinds so that she couldnt see in. then we had an old neighbor who had some major mood swings. one time he was mad cause my dog got out of the house and he threatened to call the cops just because the dog was out of the house for 5 secs. then the next day he tried to give me some pecan pie, i didnt take it cause i didnt trust the old weirdo.

In a little over a year I've been living in my apartment, I've had probably 4 or 5 neighbors. I pretty much keep to myself and don't bother them, and they don't bother me any, so I suspect there's just something about the apartment across the way that draws odd folks. The first people that moved in after I did were probably the saddest, some crazy 40something mom with her 12ish daughter. Daughter seemed nice and normal enough, but mom was a chainsmoking, constantly-drinking harlot, until finally one day she up and vanished and we never saw her again. Didn't even know she was gone(she had a tendancy to be away for a few days at a time, but always came back) for about 4 or 5 days, basically when her daughter started running out of food in the apartment and went to the landlady. Well, mom never showed up again and the daughter was taken away by child protection services or somesuch, that was the end of them.
Since then I've had a neighbor that was, I think, a drug dealer(unrelated: our apartments actually did have a drugbust go down a couple weeks ago, which apparently also got our apartment manager for knowing about it and allowing it to happen), neighbors that did mudracing(had a massive godamned truck parked across about 3 spaces, its extended-cab windows gone and caked in mud all the time), and neighbors(my current ones, actually) that stay up until 3am jabbering away loudly out on their balcony while I'm trying to sleep.
Man I hate my neighbors.
edit: huh, the things it doesn't let you say!

well, had a couple of interesting neighbors and have been the weird neighbor on a few occassions myself...
When I was still living in Vienna, my flatmate and me where kinda lazy when it came to carrying out the trash (he was a student back then and spent all his time playing DaoC or D2 and I was a consultant and spent all my time playing whatever game I could get my hands on, besides we allways had people around, a lot of parties, a lot of beers and pizzas, so we had quite a large collection of junk).
Once we had this really big and disgusting sack of trash and put it in front of our flat's door, promising ourselves that we would take it down to the trashcans today. Well, it stood there for three days and started to smell and still we were to lazy to carry it down. I returned one evening to find it gone from our doorstep and thought to myself "Wow, the lazy slacker actually managed to get some work done". As it turned out he thought the same thing about me, since neither him nor me were the one to take it away. So it had to be our neighbors who became fed up with the smell...
Needless to say, I've become much more sensible to trash since then.
Spent two years in Berlin after that. There were only young people in their twenties or thierties living in our house, so eventhough it was always loud, there was allways a party going on in some flat and the house did smell of mariuhana, we were all kinda weird, so nobody could claim to have a freaky neighbor - we were all freaks.
Now I'm living in one of the most godforsaken places in germany and live in a rented room in the house of an old vet. She's a sweet old lady who washes my clothes and even irones them but the guy who's rented the room next to me, is really freaking me out.
He's 25, works in the city hall, is the most boring person I've ever encountered in my life, has a boring job, doesn't smoke, doesn't drink, doesn't listen to music and sleeps with the lights turned on. We live door to door, our rooms seperated by mere inches of plaster and wood, yet I have only spoken to him once in the last 4 months. And I had trouble staying awake even then...

Heh we are the wierd neighbors. We live at the bottom of the hill, we have a 3.5 pound yorkie that barks at everyone/anything, another dog that smells kind of bad and always defends the smaller one, I used to play my guitar really loud (until I discovered headphones recently ) I blast my music really loud, we yell at each other alot, me and my sister are homeschooled...etc, etc...Life is good
We also have a hippie neighbor up the street with an english bulldog that attacked our bigger dog a few weeks ago, along with a family up the street who just bought a PIT BULL PUPPY...But what can you do, eh?
